Aloha and Welcome. Hawaii Shoots is a blog by Brad Watanabe owner and director at Berad Studio in Honolulu, Hawaii. This blog will explore and feature work shot and produced in Hawaii. Hawaii Shoots is a creative and collaborative site, that hopes to engage and interact with video production professionals in all disciplines (film, tv, documentary, wedding, etc) here in Hawaii to share and grow as a community.

Our contributors range from agency directors to photo journalists, camera enthusiasts and everyone in between. Hawaii is known for its beaches and aloha spirit, but is rarely thought of as a video production hub. Let’s change that. Hawai‘i has talent and I’m hoping we can one day rival production and post production companies found anywhere else in the world.
